On the plane home from Texas a couple of weeks ago, while we were somewhere over New Mexico, there was a storm.
But we weren’t flying through the storm. We were lucky enough to be on the outside looking in. From our vantage point, the lightening was not horrifying. Nor did the black storm clouds seem never-ending. There was a very clear definition of beginning and end and, to be honest, the lightening itself was quite beautiful.
We had perspective.
We had context.
And, often, regardless of where you’ve found yourself, it’s those two things that can change your attitude, change your outlook, and, ultimately, change your circumstance.
Look for the bigger story. Find the bigger picture.
It will all be over soon, and you’ll (probably) be better off because of it.
